The city invites anyone who desires to provide an opening invocation at the regular council meetings to submit his or her interest to the city. The invocation is a nonsectarian pronouncement of simple values intended to solemnize the occasion of the meeting. The invocations shall not proselytize or advance any one faith or belief, or disparage any other; nor shall invocations establish a particular religion as the sanctioned or official religion of the council. “Sanctuary City” Status Meeting
